When I was younger, I used to take in all kinds of seemingly useful advice from married people. However, now that I'm older and single past the age where its unacceptable for women to have never been married, I have a different point of view.
Every time a married person wants to give me advice about relationships, I want to remind them that their merely a statistic...
Not all married people are judgmental, but some are. They look down on single people and once they reach say 35 to 40 years old they reach the age where people pity them.
They also might try to set them up with another single person. Or try to convince them they should just marry anyone who has them, or all sorts of things.
I'll remind you that over 50% of marriage end up in divorce. So who's really better than whom?
Is it better to have never married at all or to be in one bad marriage after another? Seriously, don't make me dread my life like some of you probably dread your own. I was at one time happy about being single, and I want to remain content until I'm finally with "the one."
